Alarm Paging Module

Fully-Synthesized Paging TransmitterCommtech Alarm Paging Module
The transmitter built in to the APM is fully-approved for use in the majority of countries worldwide. With a
fully-synthesized operating capability across either
148 - 174MHz VHF or 440 - 470MHz UHF, this transmitter sends messages to all kinds of POCSAG receivers - including pagers or wireless LED signs.

Advanced Input Settings
The Alarm Paging Module allows latching and disabling of messaging inputs as well as Escalation paths to be configured for alarm events. These escalations can be set to occur across various devices. So, for example, a message could be escalated from a pager to a KIRK or SpectraLink cordless handset and on via SMS to an off-site cellular phone.

Simple Windows® Interface
The module’s multilingual graphical user interface runs on any Windows® PC and allows the functions of the Fusion Series Alarm Paging Module to be simply and seamlessly configured.

Suitable For Countless Applications
The Alarm Paging Module (APM) provides 4 alarm inputs as standard (either dry contact or opto-coupled) with up to 16 available on request. These inputs allow messages to be sent to wireless telephones, mobile phones in SMS format as well as directly to pagers and to TAP compliant devices via an in-built POCSAG transmitter.

These messages are generated via opto-coupled or contact closure alarms from various sources; including nurse call systems, building management systems, security alarms and fire panels.

TAP / SMS / DECT / POCSAG Capable
The APM connects to an SMS service such as a wide area provider via dial-up modem using the TAP protocol. For SMS direct to mobile phones, the APM connects to the Fusion Series Cellular Messaging Module.

Integrating the APM with SpectraLink or KIRK 500/1500 wireless telephony handsets is simple and provides instant notification of alarm events to cordless handsets.
